Scooter Rental Drivers Ignore Helmet Law

Despite calls to employ a stricter helmet law, scooter rental drivers continue to ignore them over in Ocean City. Town law requires drivers of rental scooters to wear a helmet and shoes.

Private scooter drivers are not subject to the ordinance. There is no state law requiring helmet use for any two-wheeled vehicles. But all that may change soon!
