A new bigger and more powerful Piaggio Hybrid is all set to be unveiled with the new Piaggio Mp3 300ie hybrid. The new scooter aims to redeem the flopped Mp3 125 and will be made for Europe only.

John Gerber, Scooter Historian, Passes Away

While scooters have becoming increasingly popular over the years, one man can arguably be held accountable for it success; John Gerber. A American scooter historian, John Gerber is the author of American Scooterist and a leading figure in the Vespa Club of America.

Well, I bring you the sad news that John Gerber has today passed away. Unfortunately, we have no details over his death but we here at ScooteringUSA extend our deepest sympathies to all of Mr. Gerber’s loved ones.

May his scooter legacy live on for many years to come.

Lohia Plans to Launch E-Scooters in 2011

Planning for the future, Lohia Auto Industries has bared that its plans to introduce 2 new electric scooters by March 2011. They target to sell about 15,000 units and are eyeing the New Delhi market. Apart from this, they are also contemplating on releasing a hybrid scooter. The company’s Kashipur facility in Uttarakhand has a capacity to manufacture two lakh bikes per year.
