Hearing of a man being banned for riding a scooter going at 5MPH may sound strange. However, if he is drunk, then you know that there is a safety precaution involved.

Such is the case for Glendale Rice, 58, who now stands to be the first person apprehended for drink driving while on an electric scooter. A woman police officer arrested him on a narrow country lane after spotting the battery-powered mobility scooter shortly before 8pm on Monday.
