The popular Vespa scooters got a “kick out” of India in 1999 due to a battle with its Indian partners that were helping to produce the vehicles, but it seems like the Italian company is back into the Indian market.
This time they are entering the Indian market by their own without partners, and the plan is to open a facility that can produce 150,00 units per year.
The Vespa scooters for the Indian market will come in a form of a 125 cc gearless engine, and future plans include the launch of a light commercial vehicle.
